Healthier Texas Week 3 Challenge results. Coming in at the top large city is McAllen with 2,184,250 points. McAllen ISD is in 3rd place of large Texas school districts. De Leon Middle is currently in 5th place with 843,450 points.

DMS staff and their families gathered to participate in the 2025 World Cancer Walk to show support for cancer patients, celebrate cancer survivors, and to remember those who have lost their lives to cancer.

Healthier Texas Community Challenge results ending week 2. City of McAllen is in the lead for large communities, McAllen ISD is in 3rd place for large school districts, De Leon Middle School is in 4th place for all schools, top 3 De Leon students are Faith Lara, Lilia Solorzano, Karin Prols, and top 3 De Leon staff are Coach Cruz, Mrs. Guerra-Martinez, and Mrs. Albright.
