Healthier Texas Community Challenge results ending week 2. City of McAllen is in the lead for large communities, McAllen ISD is in 3rd place for large school districts, De Leon Middle School is in 4th place for all schools, top 3 De Leon students are Faith Lara, Lilia Solorzano, Karin Prols, and top 3 De Leon staff are Coach Cruz, Mrs. Guerra-Martinez, and Mrs. Albright. Latest Update: ALL after-school activities for today have been cancelled...Academic, Athletic, and Fine Arts.
We will be providing optional grab and go breakfast and lunch for our students today to take home for tomorrow.
Weather update, MISD has made the decision to cancel classes and all events for tomorrow, Tuesday, January 21, 2025. Classes will resume at an hour-delayed start on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. Visit our weather updates page: https://www.mcallenisd.org/page/weather-updates.
Update on activities for today: No after school activities, to include tutoring, UIL, etc. However, Athletic practice will continue today (indoors) but practice will end early. All after school activities for tomorrow, Jan. 21, 2025 will be cancelled. Stay warm Lions!
