McAllen ISD is on iTunesU!
That makes McAllen ISD one of the first school districts in the country to post curriculum on this electronic format that, until now, has always been reserved strictly for universities. One of the first series that has been posted is an award-winning conversational Spanish TV series that features McAllen ISD students, ?Platiquemos? Stories on KGBT Channel 4, KVEO Channel 23, McAllen Cable Network, The Monitor.

Congratulations to our new IB Learners of the Month !
These students were recognized at our final PTA Meeting of the school year. These students were selected for their outstanding work in and out of the classroom and for displaying excellence in the IB Learner Profile attribute of Risk Taker. Pictured are:

The De Leon PTA would like to invite all of our students and mothers (or other female relative or guardian) to our Morning with Mom event to be held in our school library on Friday, May 11, 2012 from 7:25 a.m to 7:55 a.m. We encourage all of our De Leon Moms to join their children for a quick breakfast of donuts, coffee and orange juice. Great News! De Leon Middle School with the help of our PTA is now a registered school in the Box Tops for Education program. Simply buy your favorite Box Tops products, cut out the Box Top from each package and send to school with your child. Our school gets cash for every Box Top collected.
